Infection Control Information

For everyone's wellbeing, the following measures will be taken to ensure the safety of patients, staff and the Osteopath in the practice...

The Osteopath;

- Hands cleaned thoroughly prior to seeing patients.
- A mask can be worn during a treatment at request of patient.

The patient;

- An email is sent to all patients the day before their treatment to confirm whether treatment is appropriate and safe for all concerned.
- Notify the osteopath if any infectious symptoms occur prior, during or within 48 hours of appointment.
- Handwashing or hand sanitising by the patient is requested prior to treatment.

The treatment room;

- The treatment couch is wiped down with steriliser prior to the session. A clean towel is used as a cover for the couch. The pillow has a wipeable cover on it. Disposable paper couch roll is then used over the pillow and towel, this is changed after each patient.
- A few toys and books are used in the treatment room, but please feel free to bring your own favourites along to the session.
